Terms of Service
1. Scope of Service
IronCore Inspections & Environmental provides residential and commercial home inspection services, radon testing, and environmental testing services using professional-grade equipment and industry-standard practices.
Home inspections are visual, non-invasive inspections of readily accessible systems and components at the time of the inspection. Radon testing is typically conducted over a standard 48-hour testing period unless otherwise specified.
2. Nature of Home Inspections & Testing
A home inspection is a snapshot in time and reflects the condition of the property on the date of inspection only. Conditions may change over time due to weather, occupancy, renovations, normal wear, or hidden defects.
Inspections are not technically exhaustive and may not identify every deficiency or concealed condition. Components that are hidden, obstructed, inaccessible, or unsafe to access may not be inspected.
Radon levels can fluctuate significantly over time due to weather, ventilation, occupancy, and building conditions. Short-term radon testing reflects radon levels only during the testing period and is not a guarantee of long-term exposure levels.
3. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:
-
Provide reasonable access to the property and all relevant areas
-
Ensure utilities are connected and operational where possible
-
Ensure radon testing devices remain undisturbed during the testing period
-
Maintain normal closed-building conditions during radon testing where applicable
If testing devices are moved, tampered with, or conditions are not maintained, results may be invalid and re-testing may be required.
4. Limitations of Liability
IronCore Inspections & Environmental provides inspection, testing, and reporting services only. We do not provide warranties or guarantees regarding the future condition or performance of any property or system.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IronCore Inspections & Environmental is not liable for:
-
Hidden or concealed defects
-
Future failures or changing property conditions
-
Variations in radon levels outside the testing period
-
Mold, asbestos, lead, pests, or other environmental hazards unless specifically contracted
-
Health-related outcomes
-
Repairs, replacement costs, or consequential damages
-
Actions taken or not taken based on inspection findings or test results
The maximum liability for any claim related to services provided shall not exceed the amount paid for the inspection or testing service.
5. Recommendations & Further Evaluation
Inspection reports may contain recommendations for further evaluation, repair, or monitoring by qualified specialists or contractors. It is the client’s responsibility to pursue additional evaluation or corrective work if desired.
6. Payment & Cancellations
Payment is due as agreed at the time of booking or service unless otherwise arranged.
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a fee.
7. Access & Safety
IronCore Inspections & Environmental reserves the right to refuse, limit, or discontinue service where conditions are unsafe, inaccessible, hostile, or otherwise unsuitable for inspection or testing.
8. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or proceeding with services, the client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms of Service.
